Free Spirit Spheres lies between the regions of Nanaimo to the south, Comox Valley to the north, and the Pacific Rim to the west.
We are situated between Qualicum Beach and what locals refer to as ‘Lighthouse Country’.

Big Qualicum River Hatchery
If you’re looking for an excellent walking or cycling adventure right from our property, the Big Qualicum River and the Lighthouse Country Trail Network is for you!
Horne Lake Caves
Just a 15 minute drive from Free Spirit Spheres is Horne Lake Caves. Spectacular caverns tours available from mild to wild. Check out one of British Columbia’s top attractions for adventurous travelers.
Sea Kayaking
Adventuress offers tours anywhere from 2 hours to 4 days in length. Pick your favourite, from fun local tours based out of the oceanside areas of Nanoose, Parksville and Qualicum Beach to spectacular scenery and kayaking with the Orcas on the West Coast.
West Coast Zipline Adventures
You’ll zip over and explore a beautiful river canyon and forest trails, while your experienced zipline guides insure your safety and enjoyment.
Lighthouse Country Regional Trail
Take a step away from the beach and walk, run or ride the north and south loops of the Lighthouse Country Regional Trail (LCRT) located in Bowser and Qualicum Bay. The level grade and connection to more trails in the surrounding Crown forest and Wilson Family Woodlot make it easy for everyone to get out and get active only a few kilometers from Free Spirit Spheres.
Parksville Beach
Parksville Community Park, is home to a remarkable sandy Parksville Beach, a kid’s wonderland of swings, slides and water cannons in addition to great picnicking and beachfront choices.
Paddle Boarding
Parksville Beach has wide tidal pools, making it ideal for skimboarding and area’s sheltered waters are perfect for paddle boarding. Rentals are available at Island Surfco.
Rosewall Creek
Situated along picturesque Rosewall Creek, south of Fanny Bay on central Vancouver Island. This provincial park features a mixture of coniferous trees and broad leaf maple trees. Many visit this park is in the fall when the colour of the maple leaves makes an attractive backdrop.
Comox Valley
Although we are technically within the Regional District of Nanaimo, the Comox Valley Regional District is a very close neighbour. The Comox Valley also has excellent cultural and recreation amenities.
Mount Washington
An adventurous playground both in winter and summer. It is about a one hour drive north of us.
