News and Updates

2018 Season Extension

We are happy to announce that we are now taking bookings through till December 31st, 2018 at our current location! We are still planning a relocation over the winter and a grand reopening sometime in the spring of 2019.

We update the availability calendars under the ‘Availability’ tab as often as possible – if there is a date showing available (green) that you’d like to book, please phone our office at 250.757.9445, between 9 am and 6 pm (Pacific Time), to secure your booking with a deposit, payable by Visa or MasterCard. The sooner you are able to call, the more likely you will be to secure your desired date(s)!

Thank you for your patience. We look forward to accommodating you here at Free Spirit Spheres on Vancouver Island during the twilight of 2018!

Stay tuned for further updates!

The FSS Team.

Greetings Free Spirit Spheres Enthusiasts!

We are open for bookings at our current location until October 14th, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates on our growth and expansion!

Our original and smaller sphere, Eve, is receiving some functional and cosmetic upgrades. Unfortunately, Eve will not be available for rental this season.

Fortunately, our newest sphere, Luna, will be available for bookings beginning June 8th! Please see photos, description, rates and availability info on her new web page.

For those who are passionate about connecting people with nature while offering a truly remarkable accommodation experience, learn how you can bring Free Spirit Spheres to your neck of the woods through our Become a Partner page.

Recent media highlights:

We have been featured on the “Where to Stay” page of the new Travel Vancouver Island website (April 2018)! Pretty cool honor and privilege to represent the face of Vancouver Island accommodations, the year following being granted the “Remarkable Experience” award from the Tourism Industry Association of BC in 2017.

We have been featured in many great books over the years but have made few cover shots. Check out this beautiful new book entitled “The Anatomy of Treehouses:
New Buildings From an Old Tradition” (January 2018). Our hats go off to Jane Field-Lewis and the folks at Pavillion Books in the UK for producing a truly magnificent treehouse book – we’re thrilled with the overall layout, design and content of the book!
